Hi, I live in Browns Bay, I have two adult children – a son and a daughter, and two beautiful little grandchildren.

I have over 28 years’ of experience as a home-based educator and thoroughly enjoy my job as it is a satisfying and rewarding role.  When ‘past’ care children and parents come back to visit it reflects the bond formed over the period that the child is in my care.  I believe my role is to ensure the children feel loved, nurtured, and safe while enjoying a stimulating environment.  I believe it is important that children have lots of fun while learning at their own pace, and that they are encouraged to socialise and build relationships with other children and adults.

In my home, the children have access to many educational, creative, and fun activities including pretend play, arts and crafts, reading, puzzles, blocks, science, music, dance, and water play.  I have a fully fenced yard where the children enjoy a range of outdoor activities.

We go on regular outings in the community, and these provide the children with opportunities to interact in larger groups.  These include visits to libraries, parks, playgroups, other educators’ homes, and music sessions.
