My Background and experience
ECE Qualified Educator with 13 years of experience. I have experience dealing with multiples, special needs and children of all ages and stages of life and I pride myself on my ability to foster a relationship filled with love and respect for all tamariki I am lucky enough to welcome into my home.
I have experience working with children of all ages, stages, and abilities and am confident in the support I can provide to all our wonderful children.
My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy
Home-based childcare is something I am extremely passionate about. I love being able to offer our tamariki a loving, safe, educating home away from home. I am very child centric in my approach to education. I am here to meet the needs of the children and guide them to learn and develop at a pace that they are most comfortable with. I believe in creating strong connection with family and still feel so humbled every time a family chooses me to work alongside them. I feel strongly about caring for children and ensuring their needs come first!
My learning Environment
My home is warm, open and inviting with learning experiences set up daily for the children to explore. While your child is with me we will attend events within the community, playgroups, and activities offered by Kia Ora Kids, as well as working closely with local kindergartens and schools that I have been involved with for years when my 2 daughters went to them.
I have a love of natural materials and loose parts while encouraging creativity in learning and open ended experiences for the children while in my care. We are out and about within the local community, playgrounds, schools as well as having a plethora of activities within the home – both planned and spontaneous. I work with what the children are interested in and develop a program rich in exploration based on those interests.
