My Activities

I enjoy creating opportunities for children to explore and express themselves through play. I believe children are capable individuals who can communicate their thoughts and feelings, and I support this by encouraging activities that expand their thinking and creativity in a fun and positive way.

My Background and experience

I have spent 17 years working as an educator, previously with Porse and now with Kia Ora Kids. Over the years, I have developed strong skills in caring for young children and building positive relationships with both children and their families.

My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy

I believe that a child’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. It is important to create a strong sense of belonging, value each child’s contributions, and encourage open communication. I aim to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives by supporting their emotional needs and helping them grow in a happy, secure environment.

My learning Environment

I provide a safe and supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and play. I work within the child’s home and also take them out to places such as playgroups, playschool, and kindergarten when appropriate, giving them opportunities to engage with others and experience new settings.

My Commitment

My goal is to provide a true “home away from home” where every child feels cherished, supported, and encouraged to grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.
