My Background and experience

With four sons and ten grandchildren, I possess extensive experience with children. My educational journey began at childcare centers in Orewa. Once my sons were old enough to have children of their own, I explored the possibility of becoming a home-based educator to spend more time with them. This decision ignited my passion, and I have continued to care for children in my home ever since.

My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy

My philosophy for home-based childcare focuses on fostering a nurturing atmosphere for children. I advocate for play-based learning, where children are inspired to discover, explore, and pursue their interests. By observing their interests and developmental stages, I tailor activities that cater to their specific needs and passions of the child.  Ultimately, my goal is to create a safe, joyful, and stimulating environment where children feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

My learning Environment

My learning environment is designed to include a range of activities and experiences tailored to your child’s needs and interests. I love engaging in water play daily; regardless of the weather, you can often find us outside, enjoying the day. We also embrace creativity through arts and crafts, as well as storytelling. Cooking and baking are additional favorites of ours.
