Individual learning plan for each child
Our visiting teachers work with your child’s educator to develop an individual educational program specifically suited to your child’s interests and abilities. This individual program is based on the Te Whãriki, The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.
Children in our care will have the opportunity to explore and engage in a variety of activities with their educator. These activities will include dancing, music, singing, painting, baking, gardening, and much more. Participating in these activities will help children improve their balance, hand-eye coordination, color recognition, and fine motor skills, among other things. They will have access to a wide range of activities such as block building, play dough, puzzles, sand and water play, listening to stories, and both indoor and outdoor play, which will extend their knowledge and lay the foundation for future learning.
Educators will observe, acknowledge, and respond to the child’s learning needs, documenting their progress in a portfolio with photos and artwork. Visiting Teachers provide ongoing support and help educators to plan and develop activities for the forthcoming month that will encourage your child to explore and discover new things.
