Meet Helen
Hi I’m Helen, a home-based educator with 14 years of experience. I live in the beautiful Stanmore Bay and have three wonderful children of my own. I strive to create strong connections with my families and children to foster positive relationships and learning experiences based on the child’s interests. I feel It is a privilege for me to be able to nurture and love your precious babies!

My Background and experience
I’ve been doing Homebased care for 14 years, I have three ‘grown’ up children now.
I’d like the focus to be on smaller numbers, less illness, more one on one care that leads to strong bonds and my philosophy on nature based learning through play. I also have a current first aid certificate.
My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy
All cultures are welcome in my home. I believe every child should feel celebrated for who they are. I run a small, calm group of a maximum of 4 children so every child gets real one-on-one attention. My approach is play-based and unrushed, following Te Whāriki.
My learning Environment
My home is fully fenced with a dedicated sleep space for babies and a cosy play area. We have age-appropriate toys, books, art supplies, and outdoor space for fresh air every day. It feels like a second home, not a centre.
My Commitment
My goal is to provide a true “home away from home” where every child feels cherished, supported, and encouraged to grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.
