My Background and experience
I am originally from the beautiful Island of FIji where I gained my Early Childhood Diploma and graduated from the University of the South Pacific with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. My journey as a home-based childcare Educator began with a passion for helping young children learn and grow, through this I discovered the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young minds where I believe children thrive when they feel safe and loved.
My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy
My Home-based childcare philosophy is based around creating learning environments where children feel safe and loved. I believe in this environment children can thrive and reach their best potential! I would say building positive relationship with my children and their families is key to creating this type of environment. As I foster these relationships, I form stronger bonds and connections with the child and can better support them on their learning journey with me.
My learning Environment
I create a learning environment where your child feels a sense of comfort and warmth in my home-based care. I always ensure that your little ones have an engaging and safe environment, where they can thrive. I create a welcoming and warm space which fosters positive learning outcomes. My learning environment supports their gross and fine motor skills, with a cheerful, colourful atmosphere. The resources I provide are age appropriate and I always make sure my place is tidy and clean. I have designed an area for different curriculum experiences, including a block area, construction, and an art area for creativity. The children have access to the outdoors with shaded areas for resting. I also provide nutritious snacks for afternoon tea.
