Meet Linda
Hello, I’m Linda. My passion lies in working with children, a journey I’ve embraced for 11 years since my son was a baby. It’s been the most fulfilling experience of my life—truly rewarding. I cherish those special moments with the children as I support them on their learning journey all within the comfort of my home. I live in a very convenient area in Mt Eden, close to the city!

My Activities
My Background and Experience
I am working towards becoming a qualified educator currently studying for level 4 ECE. I have worked in the industry for 11 years and have a lot of experience with children as well as having my own son. I am also first aid trained.
My Home-Based Childcare Philosophy
Home-based childcare is the best thing I have ever done, it is a truly rewarding career. I love seeing the children I care for grow in a loving, caring, nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment.
My Learning Environment
I run a busy program with many activities out and about, we may go to the Zoo, Motat, Sky Tower, Western Springs or the Auckland Museum as well as a multitude of playgrounds. We have quiet time in the afternoon so the little ones can sleep and the older ones can do some quiet activities such as building, drawing, crafts, and some activities to help those that are transitioning to school.
Family Testimonial
“We loved being part of Linda’s program for the past two years. Our daughter settled quickly and has developed fast friendships that we’re sure will continue for many years to come. At the end of each day, we’d love to hear about the various activities and outings that Linda has orginised. She’s incredibly thoughtful and considerate to each child’s interests. And, through this, our daughter has thrived. Linda, in particular, was instrumental in helping with our daughters preparation for the start of school. I don’t think she would have settled nearly as quickly, or confidently, without Linda’s help. We feel lucky to have been part of Linda’s program and would enthusiastically recommend her”
“As a terribly anxious first-time mum, I found even the thought of childcare very overwhelming. However, in just that first phone call I has with a very empathetic Linda I knew she was the woman I could trust to care for our son and family. Both my husband and I feel extremely thankful to have met Linda. Arthur has simply thrived in her home. And trying to get him to leave at the end of the day is nearly impossible. Linda is the most organised person I know. Every Sunday evening, she lets us know the plan for the week based on the weather and the kid’s interests. This is just so much variety and learning opportunities from music classes to bear hunts. During the day she will also send and update with photos which I loved seeing at work. At drop offs and pick ups she always makes time to talk to each set of parents and let us know how the day went. We are just so grateful for all the support she has provided both Arthur and us couldn’t recommend her enough as a carer for your child. Her nurturing home us one filled with love, fun, and care.”
Linda has been part of our family for the past six years, having looked after our oldest son since he was 17 months old, and our youngest son since he was 6 months old. She has been a reliable, fun, and loving child educator throughout that time and will be greatly missed. Her approach to setting age-appropriate goals, and the care she has shown towards their wellbeing has meant our children have thrived with her. She has constantly kept us informed of their activities and progress through story park, photos, and family texts. Linda is a gifted educator and person, often going above and beyond for our boys. We will treasure all the memories and can’t thank her enough for her contribution towards growing our babies into the young boys they are today.
