Chrissy

Hi my name is Chrissy I am a 37 year old mother of 2 teenage boys 15 and 19 years old.

We have a lovely cat named Elsa who is a part of our family and I breed and sell tropical fish as a hobby.

In my journey as a home-based educator, spanning over ten incredible years, I’ve woven a rich tapestry of experiences, dedicated to nurturing young minds right from the comfort of my home.

This unique setting allows me to foster a deeply personal, enriching learning environment, where every child’s needs are attentively listened to and tenderly met.

My approach, deeply rooted in the philosophy of Te Whariki and play learning, revolves around crafting bespoke learning experiences that celebrate the individuality of each child, encouraging them to explore, connect and thrive at their own pace.

Emphasising the beauty of learning within the familiar warmth of a home setting, I keenly observe, engage, and inspire, facilitating moments of discovery and growth that are as meaningful as they as memorable. With a decade of heartfelt dedication in home-based education here in New Zealand, I am passionate about continuing to create a nurturing, vibrant space where children feel valued, understood, and excited to learn each day
